We have a lathe, but no where to set it up since we had to pull down our porch to fix the foundation. When we've finished building out we'll have a project room. I saw a beautiful thing recently made on a lathe- a statue the size of 2 stacked egg cups, wide on the bottom and top, with loose rings around it's "waist" that were made in the process. I don't know how difficult that would be, but it look very interesting to try.
It's nice to see something that is entirely your own design. I particularly like the tall ones.
Hey Charles, thanks for letting me know your son went to Oswego, too. I've been by your blog before, it's been awhile. I'l make it by here more often; it looks like I could learn a thing or two.

Wow. Those are beautiful! I will have to direct the hubby over to your site. He's aspiring to do some projects like yours.
